It all started accidentally, during a school trip in 2020 when I was still attending highschool. Two of our teachers who were also tour guides came up with an idea of choosing two volunteers from among our group. Their task was to give a tour to the rest of our class in the Ogrodzieniec castle, and so I volunteered. It turned out quite well and after the tour - one of the teachers started strongly convincing me to become a real tour guide, and so I did. Meanwhile, before starting the tour guides' course, I took a summer job in the city tour cars company to try myself with real guests. That also turned out to be quite a success. The summer job quickly turned into over a year of working there. After having done this job for so much time, guiding hundreds of tours and gaining quite a bit of experience - I was feeling ready to take the official tour guide's test. Since then, the name and the idea of Danziger emerged. Walking tours, bicycle tours, kayaking tours and many many more. The company is constantly expanding, fueled not only by the passion for showing the beauty of Gdańsk to my guests, but also by a modern and creative business approach and initiative.
Guiding since 2023.
My name is Patryk. Some people know me as an economics student, some as a photographer and some as a tour guide. I like to read good books and do a bit of mountain biking from time to time. I also enjoy taking photos - trying to stay true to my artistic beliefs which are: authenticity, uniqueness and most importantly mastering the craft by myself, from the very beginnings. One of my greatest inspirations are "places bygone" as I like to call them. Once sparkling with happiness, forging countless human feelings and memories - now completely forgotten. I also love the true side of life and try to enjoy it like one would a hundred years ago - not often online but rather immersed in what's surrounding me and thankful for the beautiful world I happen to live in. I'm fond of old music, old writers' works and old cars. I'm simply stuck somewhere in the past. One of other things I truly like is exchanging ideas with people and getting to know them. Overall - I'm a free spirit, an uncurable thinker who loves life.
I always wanted my tours to be about more than just sightseeing and listening. I believe in building a real connection with my guests - not only answering their questions but also asking some. Relating to their personal experiences, debating about history and ideas, joking around and ultimately having good time together. I'm not just here to show you the city. I want you to understand it's soul.
